Spiral Five-Point Star

Use a square sheet with a contrasting reverse if you want the folds to stand out.

Start with a 15 cm square.

Fold the lower edge upward, keeping the open edges at the top.

Fold and unfold the two diagonal creases on the right half to locate their intersection.

Bring the lower-left corner to the reference intersection and crease.

Fold that flap back so its edge aligns with the outer edge shown.

Bring the right-hand edge across to meet the diagonal fold.

Fold the right half behind the left and cut away the portion above the dashed line.

Open the retained lower piece into a pentagon.

Fold the lower edge upward so the two marked points meet the indicated creases.

Repeat on the other four sides, unfolding each time to build the radial crease pattern.

Fold neighboring edges toward the center and pinch the overlapping section upward.

Fold the raised section to one side.

Continue around the pentagon in the same direction until all five sections lie flat.

Turn the folded model to its reverse face.

Fold the indicated inner corner inward, aligning it with the adjacent edge.

Repeat the corner fold around the star and flatten the center gently.
