Smiling Paper Dumpling
Make a softly filled paper dumpling with a pleated edge and a drawn face.

- One square of paper
- Half a facial tissue
- Double-sided tape
- A pen

Round the paper outline
Open image at full size ↗Mark the center folds. Fold the corners toward the reference creases to create the rounded outline shown.
Start the pleats
Open image at full size ↗Fold the paper in half and make small triangular folds at both ends. Turn over and lift the little end folds slightly.
Pleat the rim
Open image at full size ↗Turn back and continue folding small pleats in the same direction. Open the two halves and place tape along one rim.
Fill and close
Open image at full size ↗Crumple half a tissue into a loose ball and place it inside. Bring the rims together, press the tape and reinforce the pleats. Draw a face if desired.
