Steps 1–4

Crease both diagonals to form a cross.
Fold both sides toward the centerline.
Fold the corners toward the center along the dotted lines.
Steps 5–8

Flatten into the illustrated shape.
Fold the lower triangle upward along the dotted line.
Fold it downward again along the next dotted line.

Fold outward.
