   Fold the square upward in half. Fold the right end diagonally up and down, opening each fold to mark an intersection.

   Bring the opposite corner to the intersection. Fold its flap back to align the edge, then fold the right side toward the left.

   Fold the right side behind. Cut away the part outside the dotted line and open the pentagon. Fold each corner to its opposite side and unfold.

   Bring one side upward to the central point, crease, and unfold. Repeat on all five sides. Fold the edges along these creases and lay the extra triangular layer to the left.

   Continue around the paper, laying the small triangles down in succession. Lift one flap, open it, and squash it flat. Fold its two side edges slightly behind.

   Repeat on all five sections, then turn the model over. Cut along the indicated radial guides, stopping where shown so the center stays connected. Fold the divided edges outward.

   Fold each of the five pointed tips inward slightly on the back. Turn the flower face up and arrange the petals.

   If desired, glue a small craft pearl at the center of the flower.
