Use this finished example to compare the shape and proportions of your model.

   Crease both diagonals and both midlines. Bring the sides inward and flatten into a layered square.

   Fold the front side edges to the center and unfold. Lift the lower flap and bring the sides inward along their creases.

   Repeat the petal fold on the back. Fold the upper flap downward.

   Rotate the model and fold the indicated layer downward, aligning the tips as closely as the raised layers allow.

   Lower the front flap and flatten its sides. Fold the two upper layers down, then open one side pocket.

   Squash the side pocket and repeat on the left. Open and flatten the two small central triangular pockets.

   Fold the lower point upward. Open the little inner corner and lower the flap again.

   Open the side layer diagonally upward and squash it flat.

   Repeat the opening fold on the other side. Fold excess paper behind at the sides, then fold the small corners behind to round the petals.

    Attach a small yellow paper center between the petals.

    Crease the green square diagonally. Fold it upward into a triangle and bring both side points toward the middle.

    Turn the model over and unfold the indicated layer. Bring the side edges to the center again.

    Open the two side sections and fold their inner edges toward the center.

    Turn the model over, raise the lower point, then turn it face up. Attach the orchid above the green base.
