Prepare the square

Crease the diagonals
Open image at full size ↗Fold and unfold both diagonals to make an X.
Fold in half
Open image at full size ↗Fold the lower corner up to form a triangle.
Lift the side corners
Open image at full size ↗Fold both side corners upward as pictured.
Fold the ears outward
Open image at full size ↗Fold each raised corner outward, aligning it with the corresponding outside edge.
Open the first ear
Open image at full size ↗Open one folded pocket and squash it flat.
Repeat the ear
Open image at full size ↗Squash the other pocket in the same way.
Shape the lower opening
Open image at full size ↗Rotate the model so the opening faces down. Fold the exposed corner as shown.
Repeat the corner fold

Shape top and bottom

Round the sides

Turn and round the ears

Add the expression
